FREW is a Composer, Musical Director, Arranger and Orchestrator with over a decade of experience. Their music has been commissioned and performed on some of the UK’s most prestigious stages, including The Royal Court Theatre, Shakespeare’s Globe, Sheffield Crucible, The Royal Exchange, Bush Theatre, and Birmingham REP, as well as in collaborations with groundbreaking companies such as Breach Theatre and Middle Child Hull.

His portfolio demonstrates a unique versatility across musical genres and constantly pushing the boundaries of musical dramaturgy and utilising populist forms to engage with political storiesThey are equally happy composing for large scale plays and musicals as they are heading up the music team either supervising or collaborating with composers or songwriters.

Frew has a particular interest in musical dramaturgy and the integration of music into the fabric of storytelling.

Frew studied at the University of Hull and holds a BMus in Performance and Arranging and an MMus in Composition and Conducting.
